Some thoughts

how does our memory respond when facing the threat of erasure?
I was told last monday that the CCP has been deleting media records published during the covid19 pandemic off of the internet at a national scale. CCP systematically erased images, videos, articles, and other forms of data and documentations--from banal information to records of sensitive incidents like the Shanghai lockdown or the Ürümqi tragedy. They removed, or still in the process of removing basically anything that didn't fit their new narrative of a victorious fight against the virus.
However, some people made efforts to counteract the erasure. they preserved a large amount of media records--though not all of them--by uploading them on Github.

"memory is a living process, continuously actualizing itself in response to the present."
